Channel Advisor is ending support for quantity allocation. Does this affect me?

I received a notification from Channel Advisor that they are ending support for quantity allocation between 5/9/2016 and 5/11/2016. Do I need to modify the Inventory Sync - Update Type setting in the channel config for this?
