Troubleshoot Handheld Scanners

If you are having technical difficulty with the handheld app, restarting the app or the handheld device itself solves the majority of issues.

Restart the RetailOps App

  1. From the Home screen, double-click the [Home] button.
  2. Press and hold the RetailOps app icon for 2 seconds. Press the [-] button to close the app.
  3. Reopen the RO app and test the scanner.

Restart the iPod

Hold both the [Home] button and the [Sleep/Wake] button for 10 seconds (the [Sleep/Wake] button is located on the top-right of the iPod).
